Story
Pompona vanilla beans (Vanilla Pompona Grandiflora) are a rare vanilla variety grown at 800 meters above sea level in northern Peru. It is among the twenty or so woodland vanilla varieties have been identified in Peru and is native to the Peruvian forest. The beans are cultivated using permaculture techniques on small coffee and cocoa farms and have been traditionally used to make skin creams for local women. Pompona vanilla beans are a rare type of vanilla that truly comes into its own when infused in liquids .
