Olivier Rœllinger's words
I have always been fascinated by coffee’s rich history, and I wanted to enhance the beverage's flavors with a bold spice blend that paired the freshness of green cardamom with the warming energy of ginger.
Pierre de la Roque, an 18th century traveling merchant from Saint-Malo, wrote mouthwatering descriptions of coffee in his accounts of the first business transactions between Moka and the gentlemen of Saint-Malo. The latter had bought the Arabian coffee monopoly from the French East India Company.
Poudre Kawa is my way of rediscovering the original flavor of this now-universal beverage, as it would have tasted when it was first brought to Europe.
